Renuka Pinto is an Australian trained physical therapist with more than 19 years of experience in sports medicine and manual therapy.
After completing her Bachelors in physical therapy and a post-graduate degree in rehabilitation, she received her Master’s Degree from the University of Melbourne in 2001. As an Australian trained therapist, she excels in the Maitland, McKenzie and Butler approaches of manual therapy.
She has worked with sports teams and professional athletes from early 2001. Teams to her credit include Prahan Football Club, Ranji Mumbai Cricket Under-17, 19 & 21 teams, National Cricket Academy. She worked with women’s professional tennis for 3 years, and she has had the chance to work at a Slam and Olympics in 2008. She has worked with tennis greats Martina Navratilova, Maria Shriver, Serena Williams, Venus Williams, and doubles World No. 1 Sania Mirza.
Her areas of expertise are sports medicine, biomechanics, and sports injuries! She has developed and launched three programs to help clients and patients. Renuka has furthered her skill set through professional education courses in visceral manipulation and craniosacral therapy.
She was an adjunct professor at SUNY Downstate where she taught manual and orthopedic related skills to DPT students. She has given various lectures and seminars to medical and fitness professionals on the management of sports injuries, preventative and preparatory exercises for sports performance and analysis of movement.
Renuka lives in New Jersey with her family. She enjoys biking, ice skating and cooking!
